The Calgary Fire Department works in partnership with Calgary businesses and building owners/managers to ensure the safety of employees, customers and other members of the public.

Fire safety plans are required for a variety of buildings and circumstances. Buildings that are undergoing construction or demolition may have different or additional requirements.

Fire safety systems are installed into buildings to help protect people and buildings from fires. They include but are not limited to portable fire extinguishers, sprinklers and fire extinguishing systems, fire alarms and their systems.
